OLD LYME,
CONNECTICUT: TRUE Systems, located in Tucson, Arizona,
has announced the release of the P2 Analog, a superbly
engineered two-channel microphone preamplifier.
The P2 Analog offers ultimate sonic performance
for critical recording and sound reinforcement applications.
Features include: selectable M-S decoder, active
DIs with impedance modification capability, dual
gain range selection, and multi-frequency high pass
filter. In addition, the P2 Analog features a Stereo
Phase Correlation display that assists in optimizing
microphone placement for stereo recording.
Modeled after the TRUE Systems Precision 8 eight-channel
analog preamp, the P2 Analog has been designed to
be one of the most flexible, best sounding preamps
in the marketplace. Tim Spencer, CEO for TRUE Systems
stated: "Our goal was to design a stereo preamp
that provides high-end sonic performance at a mid-range
price. And, we wanted to include special features
that provide the serious musician or recordist with
useful tools to get the best sound more quickly
and easily. For instance, our new Stereo Phase Correlation
display helps take the guesswork out of stereo mic
positioning."
On the technical front, the P2 Analog is a hybrid,
totally balanced, dual servo, high voltage design
which provides exceptional transient response, headroom,
imaging and noise performance. The unit contains
many military-grade, hand-matched components. All
signal switching is done via hi-reliability gold-contact
relays in order to maintain an extremely short signal
path and eliminate distortion and noise added by
commonly used solid state switches.
The True Systems pre amps are designed and built
by Sunrise Engineering, a design and build manufacturer
located in Tucson, Arizona. True Systems is distributed
in the US by Neumann.
