TRUE Systems introduced two exciting new upcoming products at the recent AES convention in San Francisco – the P-SOLO Ribbon and the C-SOLO Compressor, with the P-SOLO Ribbon winning the 2006 PAR Excellence Award! The TRUE booth was abuzz with interest in the new additions to the SOLO line of products, especially with all of the recent focus on ribbon mics and their many diverse uses. Ribbon mics on hand to demonstrate the dramatic clarity and purity of the P-SOLO Ribbon were the Crowley and Tripp Studio Vocalist and the Royer R121. Side-by-side with the new ribbon pre’s were the benchmark of the SOLO series, the acclaimed P-SOLO, presented with the new NEUMANN TLM 49 and the industry standard AKG C414. Attendees were able to audition any of these mics through the TRUE Pre’s as well as through the new C-SOLO Compressor, demonstrating a truly smooth, musical opto-compression, that was clearly obvious even in the adverse listening conditions of the AES Convention!
